WELCOME

We gather every Sunday.

Our church is a place where you can connect with God, grow in your faith, and build meaningful relationships with others.

WE ARE EXCITED TO MEET YOU. BRING YOURSELF. BRING YOUR FAMILY.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is everyone welcome?

YES! Our doors are open to everyone. We believe that Jesus called us to love God and to love our neighbor. In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus states, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Where are you located?

We are located at 2003 South Pine St. in Cabot, Arkansas.

What should I wear?

We have a “come as you are” policy and want you to be

comfortable above all else. Some of our folks prefer to wear their “Sunday

best,” some wear jeans, and most fall somewhere in the middle. We want you to

be more focused on worship than what you’re wearing and believe you will fit in

no matter how you dress.

Where should I park?

You may park in any available space in our parking lot,

however there are convenient, front-row parking spots labeled just for

important guests such as you!  Please

simply be mindful of dedicated spots for those with special needs.

Where do I sit?

You may sit where you like.

No seats are reserved.

When do I sit/stand during the service?

During the Traditional service the worship leaders and

bulletin will indicate when to stand. If you need or want to remain seated

through any part of worship, please feel free to do so.

Are children welcome?

Believing it is important for parents, grandparents, and

children to worship together, children are always welcome. It is our practice

to let parents and children decide the level of participation with which they

feel comfortable. Children’s Worship Bulletins, clipboards and crayons are

available for each worship service in baskets at the entrance of the Sanctuary.

Childcare is available for infants and pre-school children during both worship

services if you prefer.

Am I invited to take communion?

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every

month.  The United Methodist Church

believes in an Open Table where all are welcome, regardless of denominational

affiliation, church membership, or belief. We welcome everyone to experience

the gift of grace offered to us through Jesus Christ.

Do I have to join your church?

No, you do not have to join. You are always welcome to

worship among us, participate in any of our activities, and attend any of our

study groups. Membership is a choice and commitment which we want you to make

only when the time is right for you. If you do make the choice to become a part

of our family, you can do so in the following ways: Baptism and/or Profession

of Faith, transferring from another United Methodist Church, or transferring

from another denomination. We believe that the Holy Spirit works within other

churches and if you have previously been baptized we do not “re-baptize”

you. If you have questions or would

like to schedule a time to do this, please contact the church office.

Is your church wheelchair accessible?

Our church is accessible to those using wheelchairs or

walkers.

When is your food pantry open?

The CUMC food pantry is open from 9:00-12:00 on Tuesday

mornings unless it is a holiday.  It is

located in the Family Life Center which is on the far left side of the

building.
